Fun Fact: Rap songs are MUCH easier to implement into mashups since a majority of them are toneless. A lot of rappers put melodies into the raps, but many of them also simply go off (and while I hold true to the idea that melody is an INTEGRAL part of musicality, I have no issue with this as it makes the verse a lot more raw and sometimes personal and easier to convey emotions). Not to mention many of them are already pre-made to adhere to the rhythm, so putting them into mashups aren't difficult. For that reason, I try not to RELY on raps, but with this one there was a through line of a beach.
