Fun Fact: Ruins is a very interesting case of a song. You could say that, like the song before, it’s in 3/4 time, but that wouldn’t really be true. It’s in 6/4 time. The difference being instead of it being clearly divided into groups of 3 beats, it segments itself into a group of 4 then a group of 2 then group of 4 then group of 2 so on.

Originally this was in the 3/4 pile, but after I figured out how it divides it was a LITTLE easier. I just needed to find songs that had some 2 beat phrases I could easily isolate, and the best song that came to mind for that was “This Is America”. Was gonna add 4 beat phrases as well, but in the time I had I couldnt think of one.

Also, the video took the time to acknowledge and honor the songs that couldnt make it onto the album, and I’ll do the same here.
